Melanin Sim Finds is an independent editorial and discovery website for The Sims 4 custom content. Our goal is to make high-quality CC for Black and brown Sims easier to discover while respecting the creators who made it.
How we curate finds
We select content based on relevance, representation, visual quality, clear creator identification, age or style category, and the availability of an original creator page. We add our own descriptions, organization, comparisons, installation guidance, and editorial context. We do not present a creator’s work as our own.
- Download buttons lead to the creator’s original post or official page.
- We do not host creator package files or create unofficial download mirrors.
- We identify paid or membership-based access when that information is clear at the time of review.
- We exclude items that appear to be Blender-only when a page is intended for in-game custom content.
- Visitors should always read the creator’s current requirements, mesh notes, compatibility details, and terms before downloading.
Because creator posts and game updates can change, a listing may become unavailable, paid, outdated, or incompatible after publication. Unless an article specifically says otherwise, inclusion does not mean every file was personally installed or tested in every game configuration.
Creator credit and copyright
Custom-content names, preview images, creator names, logos, and related artwork remain the property of their respective owners. They may be referenced for editorial identification, commentary, criticism, discovery, and attribution. Melanin Sim Finds does not claim ownership of third-party custom content or creator branding.
We aim to display clear creator credit and link visitors directly to the original source. A feature on this site does not transfer, replace, or modify the creator’s own terms of use. The Sims and related marks belong to Electronic Arts Inc. Melanin Sim Finds is not endorsed by or affiliated with Electronic Arts, Maxis, Patreon, or the creators featured unless a page expressly states otherwise.
Corrections, removal, and copyright requests
If you are a creator or rights holder and believe a credit, link, description, or image is incorrect, please use our Contact page. Include the page URL, the content involved, your relationship to the work, and the correction or removal requested. We will review clear, good-faith requests and make appropriate updates.
External downloads and safety
External websites control their own files, memberships, advertising, security, and privacy practices. Download and install CC at your own discretion, keep backups, scan downloaded archives when appropriate, and follow the original creator’s instructions. Melanin Sim Finds is not responsible for third-party files, purchases, account access, or changes made by external platforms.
Advertising and affiliate disclosure
The site may display advertising or use affiliate links in the future. If we may earn a commission from a specific link or paid partnership, we will provide a clear disclosure near the relevant content. Advertising relationships do not purchase positive editorial coverage, and creator listings are not ranked solely because of payment.
Our editorial promise
We prioritize useful original writing, accurate links, respectful credit, Black and brown representation, and easy navigation. We correct genuine errors when they are identified and update important guides as time allows.
